To reduce glare and maximize light control select from the rout less option that conceals the route holes through which the control cords run, or cloth tapes that not only cover route holes but can also add the finishing touch to your window's decor.
Faux Wood Blinds:
Faux Wood Blinds are classified either as a Composite, which is a blend of PVC and wood pulp or as PVC, which is an extruded PVC plastic. They can be opened or closed by tilting the slats for light control and privacy. These faux wood blinds have the look and feel of wood but are are lower in price, heavier in weight, available in limited colors, and require a greater number of ladders to support their less rigid slats. The slats are available in a variety of shapes including traditional flat, crown (arched), S-curve, and interlocking.

Cellular shades are made of color-fast polyester, are flame retardant, and are simple to clean. If working within a tight budget, consider pleated shades.

Pleated Shades:
Pleated shades bring hundreds of versatile, fashionable fabrics and colors to your windows. They are constructed from a single layer of pleated material, with optional backings for added privacy and energy efficiency. The array of fabrics offers opacities from sheer to room darkening, as well as a wide range of colors, textures, and patterns. For a coordinated decor, selected fabrics may be ordered in matching vertical blinds. Because they are a single layer of fabric they do not provide the same level of insulation as cellular shades. As well, the lift cords are visible. Pleated shades are a great alternative to cellular blinds or roller shades when working within a tight budget.

These blinds are available in over 100 colors from five of the best manufacturers. Cloth tapes, which provide maximum light control, are available as well to provide a distinctive touch to complete your space. Slats are available in 6, 8, or 9-gauge aluminum. The higher gauge of the aluminum slat the more durable the slat. What this means for you is, the higher the slat gauge, the lower the chance of permanent bending or denting. Aluminum blinds are easy to clean and maintain.
