Reasons for Concrete Lifting:

A Complete Guideline

There are a variety of reasons that make concrete lifting and leveling a difficult job. If you have your site for concrete lifting and leveling then the lifting and leveling work must be done in a careful and measured manner. You have to keep certain factors in mind like lifting capacity, angles of corners, angle of walls, trench excavation, slip resistance, weight capacity, soil type, slope, traffic conditions, water table, and the like. All these specifications must be kept in mind before you start for concrete lifting and leveling. You also need to make arrangements for safety while you are working on any such project.

Concrete Leveling and Lifting:

One of the main reasons that makes concrete lifting difficult is poor equipment for concrete lifting and leveling. If you have inadequate equipment for concrete lifting and leveling then you will not have the proper control over the positioning of concrete slabs. It will result in improper concrete leveling or lifting. The chances of over lifting or leveling are high. Also, you will have to spend extra time in the preparation of concrete slabs and will have to spend money on repairing or replacing the equipment that has malfunctioned.

Equipment:

Another reason that makes concrete leveling or lifting difficult is the improper equipment setup. The workers and concrete leveling contractor must have the right equipment for making level marks on the concrete. The equipment for concrete leveling and lifting includes boom lifts, hook trucks, levelers, mixers, skid machines, and the like.

Boom Truck:

The boom lift or the hook truck is important equipment for doing concrete slabs. The boom lifts have a long track and a large platform. They are used for placing the concrete on level surfaces. There are different types of boom lifts like the one-person, two-person, and four-person. The leveling equipment is also available in truck loaders and self-propelled jackhammers.

Leveling is not a simple job for a construction worker. It requires physical power, fine control over the lifting force, and accurate observation of the level. Most of the concrete leveling is done by using a cable and pulley system. A level is placed on the platform of the boom truck. The cable is controlled by the operator using the appropriate joystick controls. If the level needs to be moved, a hydraulic arm of the lifting machine is used.

Once the level is set, another boom truck is used to place the concrete vertically. The concrete is now ready for concrete lifting. The concrete lifting is done by using high-pressure water jets and pressurized air. Concrete is placed on the platform by using pneumatic cranes.

There are many other reasons for concrete lifting. Some of them include repairs of roofs and buildings, removal of old buildings, converting a basement or garage into a workshop, etc. The best thing about concrete pumping is that it does not require any licensing or permits to operate. All you need to do is prove that you know how to operate it and show that you have experience with it before you can rent it out to a customer. If the customer is satisfied with your service, they will most likely hire you to do other jobs shortly.
