Noise Control

Walls, Floors and Ceilings

Problem: Poured concrete wall does not provide adequate noise reduction

Cause: Holes or honeycomb penetrations in the structure and no seal at the foot of the drywall.

Solutions:

  • Seal all obvious fissures or holes with grout or plaster before finishing the wall.Seal the gap at the bottom of the drywall for extra security as shown in Figures 10a and 10b.
