Homemade Wood Cleaner

A wood cleaner for natural wood finished cabinets and furniture – not for use on painted surfaces.

Homemade Wood Cleaner

Boiled Linseed Oil

Boil the water and then transfer it to another container. Add the turpentine and boiled linseed oil to the boiled water and stir until all of the products have blended into an emulsion.

Saturate a clean cloth with the emulsion and wring out all excess water.

Apply the cloth to small areas (approximately 2 square feet) of the wood work.

Finish by drying the cleaned area with a clean, dry towel.

Caution: Use rubber gloves when working with this cleaning solution.

Caution: Turpentine is a flammable liquid so keep it away from open flames while working with the product.

No smoking.

Do not pour left over cleaner down drains; allow it to evaporate, outside.

Rags should be air dried outside and then disposed of. The rags are subject to spontaneous combustion if stored indoors.

Do not attempt to reheat the cleaner.
